This section of my portfolio demonstrates different lesson variations in a range of subject areas. I have also included long range plans from my third practicum courses. As well as plans and activities for other educational pursuits I have been a part of. These are examples that I have used in classes and have adjusted according to my students.
Planning allows for professional development through preparation and reflection. Long range plans and short range plans are an important part of my teaching practice, although I am constantly making adjustments to those plans, they are essential for well thought out lessons and units. Thorough planning aids in appropriate and fair assessment practices.
Assessment is a major component of education, as a teacher I need to know exactly what each of my students know, and I need to evaluate them fairly. Throughout my plans there are numerous formative assessment methods, in both Physical Education as well as in the classroom. I also outline summative assessment practices, after a variety of formative assessment of each students knowledge.
As part of the University of Lethbridge Education degree we are required to go through four different practicum experiences. I have recounted these experiences under the "Introduction" section. I have included my evaluations from each practicum semester under the "Educational" section.
